Is it Really That Expensive Seeing a Naturopath?

There’s a perception that seeing a naturopath is expensive… so I just want you to stop a minute with me & do a comparison…

On average, a standard GP is just under 15 minutes long & costs around $45 out of pocket the (national average is $43.38, NSW about $44 and ACT about $52). That’s about $180 per hour. And how much really can be achieved in under 15 minutes (especially if it’s the first time you’ve seen that GP)?
I charge $220 for an initial consult that takes 1.5-2 hours. So that’s $110 - $150 per hour face to face with me (or as little as $27.50 for the equivalent time it costs to see your GP)… not to mention the time I spend outside of the consultation - researching, preparing treatment plans, ordering supplements or tests, etc - which I don’t charge you for.
And with that sort of time, we can actually get down to addressing real issues.
